After failing to win any of their opening five matches The Crown Devizes are one of the inform teams, their 3-2 victory away at Biddestone Arms was their 4th on the spin and it moved them into 4th spot in the table. Jack Goodship put Biddestone in front, and he scored the last goal of the game when he scored their second from the penalty spot but in between his goals Darren Thorpe scored a brace and Matt Nash a single for the Crown to give them their fine win.

Player of the Year / Match Day Details
This year Wellsy wants to do some things differently to that of the last few years. All match fees must be paided prior to playing ie on arrival and must get to home games no later than 10:00am to at lest assist with getting the pitch ready, nets flag etc. In addition to this we would like to know your feelings on chipping in each week for the teams "Man of the Match". This would allow the player to firstly get award marks for the Player of the Year" award that is coming back properly this year, and secondly to allow that person a free drink at the local. The match fees are to be then added to a spread sheet to be added to this site so that all players can look to see how much they owe during the season. Training
Training is back on every Tuesday at Devizes Leisure Centre 19:00 to 20:00. Cost £2.50, this covers £2 for the training and 50p to help running costs and do's the club puts on during the year. Next item to save for is Club Polo Shirts.
