The Crown started off well with some neat passing creating a chance at goal in the first 2 minutes. From this point on Southwick pressed The Crown but were denied on numerous occasions by the valiant Lee Nott, throwing himself into a countless number of challenges. Southwick further attacjed the Crown's goal with the majority of play coming from their left hand side. Ed Fruen was having a great game especially commanding his box and kicking. But it wasn't long before Southwick broke the Crown's offside trap with a ball over the top for their striker to slot past the oncoming Fruen.

The Crown seemed to be hurried when in possession and couldn't string more than 5 passes together, the story of the previous 2 games. When lines were cleared the ball came straight back puitting even more pressure on. On occasions the Crown counter attacked with 2 long range shots by Thorpe narrowly missing the target. At half time the score remained at 1-0 to Southwick but the Crown were upbeat and determined to get a quick goal. Which they did, an OGGY by Lee Nott who headed into his own net, undeserved for the Crowns man of the match. Seconds later the Crown kicked off only to lose possession to Southwick who immediately scored. 3-0. Heads were down and there seemed no way back. Southwick continued to press and were rewarded with a further 3 goals, partly due to the inability of the Crown to retain possession of the ball. With a free fixture looming, the management will have to call The-A-Team and hatch a plan. Perhaps build a steel wall from the window coverings at Rowde to place in front of our goal.
